Friday Night & Saturday Morning & Duke of Edinburgh
Our Friday Night & Saturday Morning Club is for Secondary age students from Years 7 - 12. We run 2 groups (Y7-9 and Y10-12) meeting on Fridays at the St John's Warehouse in Hampton Wick and making longer trips out at weekends. The older group also accepts Bronze and Silver DofE students. More details for DofE can be found at the bottom of this page Our students want to explore their world and CPW is all about exploring and learning to see. Recent trips have been to Greenwich, Oxford, Brighton, Windsor, the O2 Cablecar, the City of London, Brick Lane, Hampton Court, Windsor, Bekonscot Model Village, the Olympic Park, and the Southbank as well as holding Light Painting, Photo-animation, Water drop, Portrait, Chemigram, Silhouettes, Depth of Field and Fast Shutter sessions.
It's never technically demanding but technique is important and we hardly ever work in Program or Auto mode. The main focus is on imagination and we teach students enough about Composition, F numbers and Shutter speeds to allow them to take creative control of their cameras.
SPRING 2019 2 Friday evening studio sessions at the Warehouse in Hampton Wick, making Oil Drop and Bubble Abstract photos and Light Painting Orbs. We'll experiment with Crystal Ball photography during our excursion to Picadilly, Green Park and St James's and have a morning at Tower Bridge inside the historic structure and looking down through the glass walkways. It being the Spring term we'll also head to the Natural History Museum for the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition. This is an annual ritual and it's always amazing

Students can choose the sessions that suit them and their family - and will always find friends if they have to switch and join the older or younger group.

DofE Photography - Spring 2019
Once again we are pleased to welcome DofE students into the older Friday Night group. By the end of this course students will be competent Dslr photographers. They will possess a variety of camera and picture taking skills that will underpin their love of photography. We teach simple Camera skills and compositional techniques and then we get out into the world with our cameras.
