Duke of Edinburgh Photography Skills Spring / Summer 2020
Once again we are pleased to welcome DofE students to Click. We've been teaching and assessing young photographers for the DofE since 2013 and Click Photography Workshops is the largest and longest standing provider of face to face photography tuition for children and teenagers in the UK - working in schools, and afterschool and weekend clubs. Based in West London, we teach from Year 5 to A Level. Our teachers are all award winning editorial photographers with clients as varied as Vogue, Channel 4, O2, and The Telegraph & Guardian newspaper groups
In the current situation DofE provision has moved online and this 12 week course will be supported by live tutorials and a dedicated web gallery of student images.
Our students are already documenting their lives in Lockdown and this will be a strong theme throughout the course. Photographers are very lucky to have a passion that is helping them make sense of these strange days. Our horizons may have shrunk a little but our imaginations are as free as they ever were.
All Click courses are designed to get students out and shooting immediately. We DO care about technique and we teach darkroom and complex Dslr skills as well as advanced Photoshop for our A level students - but we are more interested in imagination and self-expression Modern cameras and smartphones make it possible for the young photographer to start shooting straight away and we embrace this.
Lesson 1 Take some pictures. Lesson 2 Take some more pictures. (there's a bit more to it than this - but you get the idea. Don't sit in your room looking at our tutorials all day - get out and shoot !! ) Lesson 3 Take...
“Which of my photographs is my favorite? The one I’m going to take tomorrow.” — Imogen Cunningham
