Our Friday Night & Saturday Morning Club is for Secondary age students from Years 7 - 12. We run 2 groups (Y7-9 and Y10& ) meeting on Fridays at the St John's Warehouse in Hampton Wick and making longer trips out at weekends. The older group also accepts Bronze and Silver DofE students. More details for DofE can be found at the bottom of this page Our students want to explore their world and CPW is all about exploring and learning to see. Recent trips have been to Greenwich, Brighton, the O2 Cablecar, the City of London, Brick Lane, Hampton Court, Windsor, Bekonscot Model Village, the Olympic Park, and the Southbank as well as holding Light Painting, Photo-animation, Oil drop, Abstract, Chemigram, Silhouettes, Depth of Field and Fast Shutter sessions.
It's rarely technically demanding but technique is important and we hardly ever work in Program or Auto mode. If students are keen to learn the technique, they will, but if they just want to take pictures they can do that too. Our focus is on imagination and we teach students enough about Composition, F numbers, ISO and Shutter speeds to allow them to take creative control of their cameras.
Autumn 2020 We are staying close to home for most of this term - only venturing away from Hampton Wick for Christmas at Kew, for the autumn colours in Richmond Park and for a fantastic weekend day that starts at the Millennium Bridge and the City and explores the highlights of the City of London including the Bank of England, the Lloyds building, & Leadenhall and Borough Markets. This part of London is always quiet when we visit at weekends and in the current climate we'll be walking through a surreal ghost town. We will also explore Iphoneography and run local sessions to Kingston Bridge to shoot the Swans in black & white and a session exploring Sports Mode and Shutter Speed More sessions than ever this term, with 4 Friday Night sessions including Kew, a half day and a full day out 6 sessions - 3 safe excursions, & 18 hours of Photography for £120 Free use of our Canon Dslr cameras is included this term
Students can choose the sessions that suit them and their family - and will always find friends if they have to switch and join the older or younger group. If Parents are not comfortable with our single London trip they will receive a discount

DofE Photography - Autumn 2020
Once again we are pleased to welcome DofE students into the older Friday Night group. One of only 2 Activity Providers approved by the DofE in the country - we've tbeen doing this longer than anyone else. By the end of this course students will be competent Dslr photographers. They will possess a variety of camera and picture taking skills that will underpin their love of photography. We teach simple Camera skills and compositional techniques and then we get out into the world with our cameras. DofE students will produce a portfolio of at least 12 images at the end of the course
The Warehouse - Hampton Wick Studio sessions are based at the St John's Warehouse in Hampton Wick. This wonderful Victorian building has hosted Click for the past 8 years. With fantastic internal spaces and located close to Kingston Bridge and Bushy Park, we think it's perfect ! St John's Warehouse, Church Grove, Hampton Wick KT14AL Travel Regular bus routes run through Hampton Wick from Kingston and Teddington, and the station is a few minutes walk
