Taking your camera for a walk is always a very good idea - and in these times it's a brilliant way of finding new things to photograph and of recording what's happening in our lives. Snap whatever you see that interests you. Remember that zoom lenses are not brilliant on phones or compact cameras and that it's always better to walk closer to the subject if you can (as long as it's not a stag )
Look out for birds and animals on your walk. As the spring turns into summer our parks will come alive. Now is the time for baby geese and in a week or two this swan's chicks will hatch.
Every day we are allowed one escape from the house. Walking, running or cycling with immediate family members. Sometimes we see a friend or neigbour on these walks and we exchange a few words before hurrying on. How it will change over the next few weeks and months is anyone's guess but for now we need to stay safe and keep our distance.
