If you take our Texture lesson and add to it the Leading Lines assignment and then throw in some Green - you might well find yourself standing beneath a tree in Bushy or Richmond or Crane park and looking up. Tree trunks lead us into the sky on cold bright leafless winter days and hoist us up into the cool green canopy when the sun returns. Sometimes you might find a surprise waiting for you as your eye follows the line upwards. A bird or inquisitive squirrel perhaps. The picture is easy to make.
Remember Keep you camera or phone zoomed out to get as much in as possible Decide if you want to shoot with the sun on the trunk or move to the other side and make a silhouette of it. This picture will still work if the sun goes in but it will usually be better in bright sunshine
