There's no need for a long tutorial for this. Just look at where the sun is and work out how you can use it. In the back garden - against a fence or a wall. On a walk if you are allowed out. Shoot full length with your head a tiny blob in the distance Or zoom in and focus just on your head and shoulders Winter sunshine is perfect as it makes long shadows. Hide the camera inside your shadow or show it. See if your cat or dog wants to join in
American photographer Vivian Maier worked as a nanny in Chicago and New York, but was never published or recognised in her lifetime. Only after her death were her negatives discovered in a junk sale and she is now considered one of the great photographers of the 20th Century. Her self portraits use reflections and shadows - look through the gallery to find her in the shadows. http://www.vivianmaier.com/gallery/self-portraits/#slide-12
